Registering for Prerequisites
Today I registered for classes. I'm not in the Cardiovascular Technology program yet. I had to register for two classes before I can qualify. I only got one of those two classes, but I have two years before it holds me back if I don't complete those classes.
My intention was to get all the classes I need as soon as possible, but with how compacted it is, everyone has to fight for the classes. Registration at Orange Coast College (OCC) started on June 22, and my registration day was today (July 2). I thought there wouldn't be any more classes left.
The two classes I need are Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology. Medical Terminology was full right away. I think they only offered two classes this coming 2009 Fall Semester. I think I'll sit in and hope some people don't show up, or people drop out.
I was able to get Anatomy and Physiology with the lab. Since I wasn't able to get Medical Terminology, I decided to get Human Diseases because it's required, and it's part of the program. Since I can take it now, I will so I don't have to worry about it when I'm in the Cardiovascular Technology program which is very demanding and, well, HARD.
So I am very excited about starting school August 31! I have never been this excited about going to school. And it's even earlier than I have ever started a Fall Semester. I usually would have been starting mid to late September.
My Schedule:
Bio 221L - Anatomy & Physiology Lab: Monday 1:00pm-4:10pm
Bio 221 - Anatomy & Physiology: Monday, Wednesday 4:45pm-6:10pm
ALH A120 - Human Diseases: Wednesday 1:00pm-3:05pm
I was going to spread out my classes, but since school is about 30 miles away, I decided to make them just on Monday and Wednesday for now.
I paid the tuition, which was $158.50. That seems like a really good deal considering how much my tuition has been for the last 20 years.
Alright! So I hope I can do well. I heard Anatomy & Physiology is really hard, so I hope I can pass it with an A (I'll settle for a B though).
RateMyProfessor.com - I went on RateMyProfessor.com and saw that I had a cool professor and a not-so-cool one. Then I realized that almost all the bad reviews were from the students that didn't show up to class or didn't even buy the book - they even say! So I know that if I do my job as a student, and study hard and pay attention, and show up every session, then I should be fine.
de Leon / Pineda Wedding - Kiss
This is the video of Marites de Leon and Chris Pineda kissing as they turn into Mr. and Mrs. Chris Pineda.
This wedding was held at Saint Irenaeus Church in Cypress, California.
(sorry for the video quality, it was taken from my digital camera)
Very Tired... Exhausted!
I've been very tired, and it's hard to even just stand up. It started a week ago.
Wednesday - Wake up early to go to the Laker parade. It was AWESOME! Worth the early wake up time, and using the Metro for the first time. Also all the trouble in that day just to get to the Laker parade was all worth it. On my feet all day!
Thursday - Work in the morning. I had to stand all day there. After work, I went home to rest for about 20 minutes, then had to go to the wedding rehearsal for my sister and Chris' wedding! The rehearsal wasn't too tiring, but we had to stand for a long time. After that, we headed to Panda Inn - that was good! Then after Panda Inn, we went to Heat Lounge in Gardenwalk in Anaheim. Bunch of 40+ year olds. But it was fun, just really tiring.
Friday - In the morning, I had work again. This time in Cerritos, so it was pretty close, and not too bad. But I can feel my knees starting to feel a little weak. After work, I had to help prepare for everything that was going to happen on Saturday for the wedding! Then move over to the hotel room.
Saturday - Early morning, get up and meet at Juju's room, take a shot, then go into the limo and head over to the church. Stand, stand, stand, then the wedding happens, then we go back in the limo and take pictures at a nearby park. Stand, stand, stand. Then we go back to the hotel for the reception. Stand, stand, stand. Then we do everything, and stand, stand, stand. Long night, and a very fun night. Danced a lot and got tired!
Sunday - Everyone went to my house for the "opening of the gifts". It was cool. My house is small and there's not many chairs, so stand, stand, stand. Then right in the middle of the party, I had to go into work until closing. Stand, stand, stand. Haha.
Monday - Morning time, and I had to go into work again. Stand, stand, stand. But it wasn't hard because it was the morning, and there weren't really a lot of people. After work, I rested for a couple hours, then I had to go meet with my sister and Chris and bring them to LAX so they can take their flight to Miami, then 5 hours later, St. Lucia. Then after that, I met Maricel at her apartment and got to rest and just hang out and watch TV. Finally some rest!
Tuesday - Went with my dad to bring all the cars to get serviced (mostly oil changes). Then I went with Maricel to Temecula and hung out there! It was fun. It was fun mixed with some rest! Finally some rest!
Wednesday - Wake up and go back to the mechanic to pick up the car, and drop off the van. Then go eat. I didn't rest much, but at least I got some good sleep last night. Then hopefully I con't get called in to work (I'm on call). So I can just go to Maricel's apartment and rest again!
Tired!
...but it was ALL worth it!
